A Poetic Body of Work
Reading an anthology like A Poetic Body of Work is akin to dining at a buffet—everything is different, and everything is good when approached on its own terms of straightforward honesty. These are poems by “amateurs” in the original sense of the word: lovers (of poetry in this case). And these are poems by those who are able to use images, metaphors and rhyme with aplomb. It was good to hold such a book and dip into it again and again.
